This is not the first delay. Before, GTA VI was planned for May 2026. Now fans must wait even longer. Rockstar has done this before. Another game, Red Dead Redemption 2, was also delayed many times.
PC players may need to wait even more. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version yet. In the past, GTA V came to PC almost two years later, and Red Dead Redemption 2 came after one year. So GTA VI on PC may come in 2027 or 2028.
Rockstar is also having problems inside the company. About 30 to 40 workers were laid off. The company says it was because of information leaks. A union says the workers were removed because of union activity. Some protests have already happened.
Even with these problems, experts think GTA VI will be very successful. They say the game could make more than $8 billion in the first month, which would be the biggest launch ever.
GTA V is still selling very well. It has sold over 220 million copies, making it one of the most popular games in the world.
Some people think GTA VI may cost more money. But surveys say the price will likely stay at $70.
