AMD wants more people to use AI on their own computers.
So, AMD is adding one-click AI installation inside its graphics driver.
With the next AMD Adrenalin update on January 21, users can easily install AI tools.
You do not need deep technical knowledge. Just click once and install.
This update will help people run AI models on normal home PCs and laptops.
AI Bundle Inside the Driver
AMD says the driver will include an optional “AI bundle.”
This bundle will have several AI tools in one installer.
AMD has not shared all tool names yet.
But these tools will help users:
Create AI images
Run local AI chat or language models
Use AI without internet (local AI)
Get better PyTorch support on Windows
This makes AI easier for beginners and developers.
Works Best With New AMD Chips
AMD designed this installer for its new Ryzen AI processors.
These chips have special AI power built into them.
At CES, AMD introduced Ryzen AI 400 series chips.
They use:
Zen 5 CPUs
RDNA 3.5 graphics
These chips are made for AI tasks.
Powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX 475
The top chip is Ryzen AI 9 HX 475.
It has:
12 cores and 24 threads
Fast speed up to 5.2 GHz
Strong GPU and AI power
Up to 60 TOPs AI performance
Laptops with these chips will come soon.
Desktop versions will arrive in 2026.
Better Tools for Developers
AMD is also updating its ROCm software.
The new version:
Works on Windows and Linux
Supports easy install using ComfyUI
Improves PyTorch support
This helps developers build and test AI faster.
Enterprise AI System (For Big Work)
AMD also showed Ryzen AI Halo, made for companies.
This system:
Runs big AI models locally
Does not need cloud internet
Has up to 128 GB memory
Has very strong GPU power
It is similar to Nvidia’s DGX system.
These updates arrive amid ongoing debate about whether the AI investment surge is sustainable. At CES, AMD CEO Lisa Su addressed the skepticism head-on, dismissing concerns about an industry bubble and forecasting rapid consumer uptake of AI technology.
